Library conservators discuss their work on the Emily Howland Album, containing 48 rare photographs dating to the 1860s -- including a previously unrecorded portrait of Harriet Tubman and images of other abolitionists -- which was conserved and digitized by the Library and will be exhibited for the first time at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in 2018. Librarians at the The White House Historical Association have digitized 25,000 previously uncatalogued slides! In case you missed it, Missing Scientists' Faces blog shared 28 days of African American female scientists during #BlackHistoryMonth. Check out some of the Digital Public Library of America's primary source sets for #WomensHistoryMonth. Let's check in with the Olympic games archivist now that it's over.
